Ingredients

  • whole grain mini bread loaves - 4 pcs.
  • falafels - 12 pcs.
  • carrots - 2 pcs.
  • cucumbers - 1/2 pc.
  • rice vinegar
  • sugar - 1 tbsp.
  • salt - 1 tsp.
  • oil - for frying the falafels
  • hummus - for spreading on the bread

  • canned chickpeas - 9 oz (250 g)
  • onions - 1/2 onion
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • parsley - 2 tbsp.
  • cumin - 1 tsp.
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp.
  • wholemeal bread - 1/2 a slice or according to the consistency of the mixture

How to cook

Cut the carrots and cucumbers into thin sticks. Marinate them in the marinade made from rice vinegar, salt and sugar.

In a blender, place the chopped onions, garlic, chickpeas, parsley, cumin, black pepper and a bit of the bread.

Blend until the mixture is smooth. Season the mixture with salt. If the mixture is very dry, add a little water.

Form meatballs and fry them in hot fat.

Cut the loaves in half and bake them lightly. Spread a thin layer of hummus on them and place the marinated vegetables and falafels inside.
