Ingredients

  • feta cheese - 17.5 oz (500 g)
  • oil - 3 cups
  • beer - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • eggs - 4 - 5
  • breadcrumbs - 1 cup
  • flour - 2 cup
  • salt - 2 pinches

How to cook

Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the egg yolks with the beer and add flour until you get a very thick paste. Then whisk the whites into snow with a pinch of salt and gently add in to the egg yolks.

Heat oil in a deep pan. Cut the feta cheese, that has been in the freezer for 15 minutes beforehand, into pieces, sizes of your choice. Roll each piece in the mixture, then in breadcrumbs and put it to fry on both sides.

If you want a thicker batter, roll the pieces in the mixture and breadcrumbs 2 times. Drain the finished crumbed feta cheese on paper towels. Serve with a garnish of your choice.
