"If you are going to make homemade burgers, make them properly - start with the buns"

Ingredients

  • flour - 1 lb (450 g)
  • dry yeast - 1 tsp.
  • water - 1 cup (200 ml)
  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • salt - 1 tsp.
  • sugar - 1 tbsp.
  • butter - 2 2/3 tbsp (40 g) or oil
  • for greasing
  • olive oil - 1 tbsp.

How to cook

Heat the water and dissolve the yeast and sugar in it. Stir and cover the dish with a towel. Leave it in a warm place for 10 minutes until the yeast is activated.

Sift the flour and add the salt. Stir and make a well. Add the yeast, 1 beaten egg and the melted butter (oil). Knead a soft and elastic dough.

Grease it with a little oil and leave it to rise until it doubles in volume for about 30-40 minutes.

Divide the finished dough into 8 equal parts. Form them into buns and place them in a tray lined with baking paper at a distance from each other. Leave them to rise again for 20 minutes.

Then grease them with a little olive oil. Bake them in a preheated oven at 374°F (190 degrees) for about 20 minutes.

Let them cool on a wire rack and make amazing burgers for your loved ones.
