Ingredients

  • chicken hearts - 21 oz (600 g)
  • tomato paste - 2/3 cup (150 ml)
  • olive oil - 2 - 3 tablespoons, or oil
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • cumin - 1/2 tsp
  • savory - to taste
  • salt - to taste
  • green onions - chopped for presentation, or use leeks

How to cook

Clean the chicken hearts and put them to stew for 10 minutes in olive oil. You can also distribute them directly into 2 clay pots without stewing them and bake them for 45 minutes. If you stew them, reduce the amount of baking time.

After you distribute them into the pots, add spices and tomato paste, mix them, put their lids on and put them to bake in a non-preheated oven. Serve the ready hearts with chopped green onions or leeks.
