Ingredients

  • sugar - 2.2 lb (1 kg)
  • rose petals - 80 pcs.
  • water - 5 cups
  • tartaric acid - 1 tsp.

How to cook

Remove the rose petals carefully.

Cut off the white part of the petals and wash them in cold water to remove the stamens.

Mix the sugar and water and boil the mixture on the stove until the sugar dissolves.

Add the rose petals and cook until the mixture thickens.

Then the acid is added and it changes the color of the jam from dark green to pink.

The boiling continues for another 2-3 minutes.

Once the rose jam cools, pour it into jars.
