Ingredients

  • eggs - 2
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • oil - 1 cup
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 cups
  • walnuts - 1/2 cup, crushed
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • lemons - rind of 1 lemon
  • apples - 2 cups, peeled and grated
  • butter - to spread
  • for sprinkling
  • powdered sugar
  • cinnamon
  • breadcrumbs

How to cook

Beat the eggs well with the sugar and add the oil.

Add the other products in order - the flour sifted with the baking powder, the walnuts, cinnamon, lemon rind. Stir the mixture gently with the grated apples.

Put the mixture into a buttered and sprinkled with flour tray. Sprinkle the top with breadcrumbs thoroughly and lightly press them into the surface. Put the loaf to bake until tender in a moderately heated oven.

Immediately after removing the baked apple loaf, brush it with butter and sprinkle it with breadcrumbs and powdered sugar.

Once slightly cooled, cut it into pieces and serve, sprinkled with a little cinnamon.
