Ingredients

  • beans - 4/5 cup (200 g) ripe
  • onions - 2 oz (60 g)
  • carrots - 1.5 oz (50 g)
  • lovage - 1.5 oz (40 g)
  • oil - 2 2/3 tbsp (40 g)
  • tomato paste - 1 tsp
  • flour - 1 tsp
  • paprika - 2 tsp (10 g)
  • spearmint - 1 tablespoon, crushed
  • salt - to taste

How to cook

Boil the pre-soaked beans with the cleaned, washed and finely chopped carrots and lovage. Separately in preheated oil and a little broth from the beans, saute the onions until they turn a glassy color.

While stirring, add the flour and paprika. Put the sauteed onions, which you've diluted with boiling broth, in with the beans and tomato paste, which has been diluted in some warm water.

Finally, season the Shopi-style bean soup to taste with spearmint and salt.
