Portion the washed and dried chicken. Mix the spices with the fruit beer and smear the inside and outside of the chicken with it. While you leave the chicken to soak up the flavors, clean the vegetables.
Cut the sweet potatoes into pieces, and put some oil to heat in a pan. Fry the finely chopped onion, garlic and mushrooms. Add some spices too.
In a suitable large oven dish, pour in a little oil on the bottom and distribute the potatoes, sprinkle them with some spices as well. Top with the fried vegetables and distribute the chicken. Pour in the marinade and a little oil if needed.
Cover with foil and put it to bake in a moderately heated oven for about 50 minutes - 1 hour.
