Preheat the stove, put the sugar in a pan, add a little warm water and make a slightly runny caramel. Cut the croissants into strips and arrange them in a suitable baking dish that has been previously coated with caramel.
Sprinkle some raisins. Beat the eggs and milk and pour it over the chopped croissants. Repeat with a second layer of croissants, raisins and soak again. Bake until ready, in a moderate oven.
