How to cook
Knead the risen panettone dough and arrange it in a greased tray, so as to obtain a rim. Distribute cleaned and cut fruits on top. Separately, boil the milk with grated almonds, orange peel, sugar and salt.
Add the semolina and stir until it swells. Once the mixture cools, mix in the well-beaten yolks and sour cream. Finally, mix with the egg whites beaten to snow and pour the mixture over the cake, which by now should have risen again.
Place the panettone cake to bake in a moderately heated oven for about 35 minutes. While still hot, brush it with melted butter and sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
