How to cook
Sift the flour three times, add salt and baking powder and mix them well.
In a glass, mix the soda and vinegar and once they foam up, add them to the flour, along with the oil. While stirring constantly, add warm water and knead a soft dough.
This step is the most important for a successful soda cake - knead the dough for a long time after it is formed, or until, when you make an incision, there are air bubbles in it.
Form a loaf of dough and place it in a greased pan.
Let the dough rest for 15 minutes so that it relaxes, before placing it in the oven, pierce the bread with a fork in several places.
Place the baking pan in a preheated 356°F (180 degree) oven and bake it for about 30-35 minutes until it aquires a light golden brown color.
Soak a cheesecloth and squeeze it out very well, take out the baked bread and wrap it with it, cover it with a dry towel and leave for about 10 minutes.
Serve it warm!
It's a very soft and delicious soda bread, especially sprinkled with mixed herbs and salt!
