Mix the egg nicely with the powdered sugar and butter until you get a smooth mixture. Subsequently, add the semolina, flour sifted with baking powder and vanilla. Make small balls from the dough and arrange them into a greased tray.

On each ball, put a piece of nut of your choice. Put them to bake in a hot oven at 302°F (150 °C) for about 45 minutes. Prepare the syrup by boiling the sugar and water for 15 minutes and then mix the lemon juice in.

Cool the finished syrup very well. Pour it over the still warm balls. Leave the sekerpare for a few hours before serving.
