How to cook
Heat the milk and cream along with the split in half vanilla pod. They should not be left to boil.
A thin cream is obtained, which is poured into a container or ice cream machine suitable for freezing. It should not be in a thick layer (maximum 4 cm). Wait for it to cool and remove the vanilla pod.
Freeze the vanilla ice cream for a minimum of 12 hours, while stirring it periodically to avoid it from forming crystals. If an ice cream machine is used, it does the job.
When the ice cream has set, it is ready to eat.
In case there are crystals, the ice cream can be beaten in a blender before serving it, in order to make it fluffy. In any case, this ice cream does not become very harsh, but is light and tender.
The taste of this sugar free vanilla ice cream is amazing and there is no obvious lack of sugar.
