Ingredients

  • beef - 14 oz (400 g) of ham
  • flour - about 2 tbsp.
  • parsley - 4 stalks
  • carrots - 2 pcs.
  • onions - 1 onion
  • celery root - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • oil - 1/2 cup
  • vegetable spices - 1 tbsp.
  • bay leaf - 2 pcs.
  • black pepper - 6 grains + ground if desired
  • nutmeg - 2 pinches

How to cook

Cut the meat into chunks, the carrots into large pieces and onions and celery into small pieces - put them to boil in about 1 liter and a half of water.

Season them with salt, bay leaf, black pepper and oil.

Add the finely chopped parsley, vegetable seasoning, nutmeg and more black pepper to the beef soup - let it simmer over low heat.

Fry the flour and garlic in a deep pan and pour about 2 cups of water in it - then add this mixture to the Serbian soup.

Let it boil for another 10 minutes until the desired density is reached.

The traditional Serbian beef soup is very tasty.
