How to cook

In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, vanilla, eggs, chopped cold butter and sugar. Knead a smooth dough, which is then wrapped in foil and left for 1 hour in the refrigerator.

Take out the dough and separate a ball from it, which is then rolled out and star and heart shapes are cut out to decorate the crostata.

The rest of the dough is rolled out onto a floured surface, the size should be larger than the baking pan - 10″ (26 cm).

Transfer the rolled out (with a rolling pin) crust into an greased baking pan and also form the borders. Strain the fruit from the fig jam and cut them into pieces.

Pierce the bottom with a fork, pour the jam on top and decorate it with cut out hearts and stars.

Bake it in a preheated oven at 340°F (170 degrees) for about 25-30 minutes. Take it out, leave it to cool and sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
