How to cook
Beat the eggs and sugar until a homogeneous creamy mixture is obtained. Sift the flour along with the baking powder.
Grate the lemon peel on a fine grater.
Add the flour along with the baking powder and lemon peel to the egg mixture, mix well and pour it into a pre-greased round pan with a diameter of 10″ (26 cm).
If you prefer, you can add baking paper.
Bake the cake layer at 320°F (160 degrees) for 40 minutes in a preheated oven.
The lemon cake layer is ready.
