"All you need is 1 packet of puff pastry and you can whip up a pie in 45 min."

Ingredients

  • puff pastry - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • mince - 9 oz (250 g)
  • olive oil - 2 tablespoons, or oil
  • onions - 2 heads
  • parsley - 1 bunch, finely chopped
  • tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
  • garlic - 2 - 3 cloves
  • cheese - 1 cup, grated
  • eggs - 2
  • black pepper

How to cook

Sauté the onion and parsley in oil. Add the mince and make it into crumbs with a fork. Add 1 cup of water, the tomato paste, garlic and cook until the water evaporates. Beat the eggs.

Add the cheese and eggs to the meat mixture and mix. Divide the dough into 2 and shape it to the shape of the tray. Place one half and add the mince on top. Cover with the remaining dough.

Pull the edges of the dough inward to form a rim. Cut the pie into triangles or squares. Bake in a preheated oven at 390°F (200 °C) for about 30-45 minutes.
