Ingredients

  • feta cheese - 21 oz (600 g) fresh or 2 lb (1 kg) yoghurt
  • eggs - 6
  • butter - 1/5 cup (60 g)
  • semolina - 1 cup (250 g)
  • sugar - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • water - 4 1/5 cups (1 liter)

Preparation

Crumble the feta cheese (or yoghurt), and beat it very well with the butter, eggs and semolina.

Put the mixture into a buttered baking dish and bake it. Cut it into squares.

Pour on the syrup prepared from the water and sugar and bake again until reddened.
