Ingredients

  • eggs - 5 pcs.
  • sugar - 1 1/2 cups
  • wheat starch - 8.5 oz (240 g) plain or strawberry
  • oil - 3 tbsp.
  • baking powder - 2 tsp.

How to cook

Separate the egg whites from the yolks and beat with half of the sugar. Beat the remaining sugar along with the egg yolks.

Pour the egg yolk mixture over the egg whites and mix with a spatula, add the oil, starch and baking powder.

Pour the mixture into a greased and floured cake tin and bake the sponge cake at 338°F (170 degrees) for about 45 minutes.

Once the cake cools down you can sprinkle with powdered sugar, if you like.

The fluffy sponge cake is ready.
