Ingredients

  • flour - 9 oz (250 g)
  • honey - 2 tbsp.
  • oil - 2 tbsp.
  • water - 4.2 fl oz (125 ml) warm
  • salt - 1 pinch

  • apples - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • cane sugar - 2 tbsp (30 g)
  • butter - 2 tbsp (30 g)
  • walnuts - 1.1 oz (30 g) roasted
  • sugar - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g)
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp.
  • butter - for greasing
  • powdered sugar - for sprinkling

How to cook

Mix the flour with the oil.

Add honey to the water until it has completely dissolved. Mix the flour with the honey water, knead a smooth dough, grease it and leave it to rest for 30 minutes.

Peel the apples and cut them into small cubes, add the cinnamon and mix them with both types of sugar.

Roll out the dough into a very thin crust, spread it with melted butter, sprinkle it with a little sugar, add the apples, sprinkle with the remaining sugar and roasted walnuts (crushed).

Roll up the strudel, put it in the baking pan, grease it with butter, bake in a preheated oven at 390°F (200 degrees) for 25 minutes.

Grease it again with butter and bake for another 15 minutes. Take it out of the oven and grease it again.

Leave to cool and sprinkle it generously with powdered sugar.

The perfect apple strudel is ready.
