Ingredients

  • beef - 17.5 oz (500 g), minced
  • eggs - 1
  • onions - 1 head
  • bread - 1 slice of old, soaked in water and drained
  • cumin - 1 pinch
  • oil - 1 cup for frying
  • tomatoes - 10.5 oz (300 g) canned
  • garlic - 3 cloves, crushed
  • oregano - 1/2 tsp
  • salt
  • black pepper

Preparation

Mix the minced beef in a bowl with the egg, chopped onion, bread, cumin, salt, black pepper to taste. Shape small meatballs from the mixture and put them to fry the standard way in preheated oil.

Arrange the fried meatballs on a plate. Place the finely chopped canned tomatoes in a small pot with the garlic, salt, pepper and oregano.

Cook the sauce on medium heat until thickened. Pour the resulting tomato sauce over the meatballs and serve.
