  • beer - 1 cup (250 ml), dark
  • cocoa - ¾ cup, unsweetened
  • butter - 1 cup (230 g)
  • flour - 2 cups, sifted
  • sugar - 2 cups
  • baking soda - 1 1/2 tsp
  • salt - ¾ teaspoon
  • eggs - 2 large
  • sour cream - 2/3 cup
  • for the chocolate sauce
  • dark chocolate - 6 oz (170 g)
  • cooking cream - 6 tsp liquid
  • coffee - ¾ tsp, instant

How to cook

Put the dark beer in a container on the stove to heat up and add the butter, cut into pieces. Stir until melted and add the cocoa, stir until dissolved and remove to cool the mixture. Combine the flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.

Separately, beat the cream and eggs, previously kept at room temperature, with a mixer. Add the beer-cocoa mixture to them and mix again. While stirring continuously, add the dry ingredients in parts. Stir enough to blend them without overdoing it. Put the cake mixture in a well buttered cake pan with buttered baking paper.

Put the cake with dark beer to bake in a preheated 356°F (180 °C) oven for about 30-35 minutes. Finally, check to see if it is ready using a toothpick. Leave the baked cake to cool slightly, and in the meantime make the chocolate glaze.

To do this, heat the cream and melt the crushed chocolate in it. Mix with the coffee and pour the glaze over the chocolate cake with dark beer.
