How to cook
Begin to mix the softened lard with the powdered sugar and add the oil, then the vanilla and ground walnuts. Add the flour bit by bit and knead a soft and smooth dough. It needs to take almost all the flour in.
Do not roll it out. Instead, shape small balls or crescents with your hands. Arrange them in a baking dish and put to bake at 392°F (200 °C). Do not wait to for them to turn pink on top because the walnuts might burn.
Once they have a light tan underneath, remove from the oven. Sprinkle with plenty of powdered sugar and serve.
