How to cook
Beat the eggs with the salt together in a bowl and add the sugar. Beat continuously until the mixture increases in volume. Then add the flour sifted with baking powder, melted butter, spices, grated lemon zest and 3/4 of the nuts. Mix until you get a homogeneous mixture.
Grease and flour a medium-sized tray. Pour in half of the mixture, arrange the thinly sliced pears on top, sprinkle with nuts, pour in the remaining mixture, smooth and distribute the pear pieces firmly on the surface of the pie.
Put the pie to bake in a preheated 360°F (180 °C) oven for about 50 minutes or until ready.
