How to cook
Clean the pike well and cut it into chunks.
Add salt to each piece and sprinkle it with freshly ground black pepper, then roll it in some breadcrumbs, a mixture of beaten eggs with soya sauce and then in breadcrumbs once again. Arrange the pike pieces in a greased oven dish with some white wine and put it to bake in a heated oven at 390°F (200 °C).
After about 10 minutes, add the coarsely chopped onion, mashed tomatoes, season with a little salt and pepper. Bake the dish until the sauce caramelizes slightly at the edges.
Finally, serve the pike soaked in a little cream and with a slice of lemon.
