How to cook
Clean the mackerel, wash it and cut it into cutlets.
Season them with salt and leave them for about 30 minutes, in order to absorb the salt.
Peel the onion and finely chop it.
Pour the oil into a baking pan and add the onions.
Place it in a preheated oven, until the onions have softened.
Add the paprika, tomato juice and sugar.
Arrange the fish.
Add the finely chopped pickles.
Season with black pepper and bay leaf.
Bake, until the delicious oven-baked mackerel is ready.
