How to cook
1 cup = 250 ml.
The honey, butter and soda are mixed in a saucepan and it is placed on low heat.
After about 3 minutes, the mixture begins to bubble and as soon as it acquires a caramel color (and this happens quite quickly), remove it from the heat.
Once it has slightly cooled, add the butter, eggs, sugar and flour.
Mix everything well, the mixture for the cake layer has the thickness of sour cream.
Pour it into a baking pan with a diameter of 8.7″ (22 cm), lined with baking paper and bake it at 360°F (180°C) for 20 minutes.
Once it has cooled, the honey cake layer is cut into half.
