How to cook
Put the water and sugar in a non-stick pan on the hob for about 20 minutes at a moderate temperature, until a thick syrup is obtained.
During this time, dissolve the starch in a small bowl with a small amount of water.
Once the syrup is ready, pour it inside.
Stir the mixture without stopping over low heat with a large spoon - be careful, so that it doesn't stick.
After about 30 minutes the color will start to change, it will become more transparent - then pour the confectionery paint.
To shape this Turkish dessert, lay baking paper in a rectangular tray, pour the mixture over it and spread it out nicely, so that there is no air left and no gaps.
Put the pink Turkish delight in the refrigerator for 12 hours.
The next day, cut it into rectangles.
