How to cook
Wash the rice very well under running water and strain it.
Clean and finely chop the leeks.
Heat the oil in a pot, add the chopped leeks and fry them, until they soften. Add the strained rice and continue frying, until the rice becomes translucent.
Add the tomatoes, as much black pepper as you like, pour 3 cups of warm water and stir.
Reduce to low heat and after the dish has boiled, add as much salt as you like and close the lid of the pot, leave it to simmer and stir occasionally, until the rice is ready.
At the very end of cooking, sprinkle with oregano, stir and remove lean rice from the hob.
Leave the rice with leeks and tomatoes under a closed lid to stew for about 10-15 minutes.
