Ingredients

  • lamb - 19.5 oz (550 g), minced
  • salt
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • caraway - 1/2 tsp, ground seeds
  • cloves - 2 grains, ground
  • chili - 1/2 tsp or cayenne pepper
  • bread - pita bread, for serving
  • vegetables - leeks, tomatoes, peppers, for garnish
  • parsley - a few sprigs, chopped

Preparation

Knead the lamb mince with salt to taste, the black pepper and chili, add the ground caraway, cloves and very finely chopped parsley. Form into 6 elliptical meatballs.

Take 2 skewers and alternate between a meatball, tomato ring, onion, meatball, vegetables again and meatball on each of them. Grease the skewers and put them to bake on a preheated grill or barbecue, having greased the elements as well.

Serve the Arabic Kafta on pita bread.
