Peel, wash and chop the potatoes. Put them into a greased oven dish, sprinkled with some breadcrumbs. Chop the onion and garlic and fry them in the heated oil. Once soft, add the finely chopped tomatoes or canned tomatoes.
Stir and wait until roasted and the sauce is slightly reduced. Finally, mix with the spices. Pour the sauce over the potatoes. Put the dish to bake in a preheated 374°F (190 °C) oven for 30-40 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked.
Towards the end, if desired, sprinkle with crumbled feta cheese and let it crisp.
