  • cheese - 14 oz (400 g)
  • curry - 1/2 tsp
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • black pepper - to taste
  • savory - 1/2 tsp
  • onions - 1 small head and 1 large


Grate the cheese coarsely or cut it into small cubes. From the cleaned big onion head, cut out thick round slices, and grate or chop the small head finely. Add it to the chopped cheese with the spices.

Stir and divide it into 4 small, pre-greased fireproof bowls. In the center of each, put a thick onion slice and cover it with a bit of the cheese. Put the bowls to bake in a moderately heated oven at 356°F (180 °C) until the cheese gets a nice tan.

Serve the grilled cheese warm with rusks or bruschetta.
