Ingredients

  • sour cherries - 4.5 lb (2 kg) ripe
  • sugar - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • brandy - 4 1/5 cups (1 liter) 100 proof, or use rubbing alcohol
  • cloves - a few buds
  • cinnamon - sticks
  • nutmeg - 1
  • sour cherry leaves

Preparation

Wash and clean the sour cherries. Place the fruits in jars or bottles with a wide neck and sprinkle with sugar.

Add the flavors, then shake the bottles to allow the sugar to mix with the cherries well. Close the jars or bottles with improvised corks and put them out in the sun for about 1 week.
