How to make
This type of preserve is usually made in the spring. Wash the leaves, dry them a bit and arrange them into 4 piles of 10 leaves.
Roll them up into tight rolls and place them upright in a compote jar. Arrange the sprigs of the spices around the sides. Add water to 1 finger width below the rim of the jar.
Close the cap and sterilize for 10 minutes. Let the jar cool slowly in the water.
