  • turkeys - 1 whole, 7.5 lb (3.5 kg)
  • butter - 1/5 cup (60 g)
  • salt
  • onions - 2 heads
  • butter - 2 tablespoons
  • mince - 1 2/3 cups (400 g)
  • bread - 3 cups, crushed dry bread
  • eggs - 1
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • parsley
  • spearmint


Wash the cleaned turkey and then dry it. Mix the minced meat with the finely chopped onions, sautéed in the butter and a little water, the bread crumbs, egg and seasonings. Stuff the turkey with this mixture and sew it up.

Smear the entire turkey with butter, sprinkle it with salt and pepper and then wrap it in aluminum foil. Put it into a tray, add water and bake for 3-4 hours in a moderate oven. Shortly before the end of cooking, remove the foil.

Bake the turkey finished, turning it from time to time. Serve the turkey with a side of fries, steamed carrots and other vegetables.find similar recipes here
