How to cook

Wash, peel and carve out the apples. Boil the rice in the milk, then stir with the egg yolks, 1/2 cup sugar and the cinnamon.

Add the beaten egg whites. Fill the apples with the walnuts and the remaining sugar and then pour the resulting mixture over them.

Bake in a moderate oven. Serve cold.
