  • rose petals - 50
  • sugar - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • water - 4 1/5 cups (1 liter)
  • citric acid - 1 - 2 pinches


Put the flower petals, sugar and water to boil. You will know when it's ready when you stir with a spoon and some of the juice always sticks to it.

After more stirring, put one drop on a porcelain plate, and if it does not run, it is time to remove it from the heat. Put the citric acid in it as well, and while still hot, pour it into jars and seal them.

No boiling is necessary to sterilize it.
