Veal with Peas
- veal - 21 oz (600 g)
- oil - 1/3 cup (75 ml)
- onions - 1 large head
- tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
- peas - 2 cups (500 g), frozen
- paprika - 1 teaspoon
- tomatoes - 1
Cut the meat into pieces, the onion finely. Saute them in some of the oil and a little water. Once the onion softens, add the diluted tomato paste and paprika. Salt to taste. Once the water evaporates, pour in enough hot water to cover the meat.
Boil 10 - 15 min. under a lid on moderate heat. Add the blanched peas in the rest of the oil. Once the meat and peas often, throw in the peeled and finely chopped tomato. Saute for another 15 min.
You can also use canned peas for this recipe. In that case, drain them from the water and add to the dish 15 min. before removing it from the heat.
