Boil the milk and melt the butter and sugar in it. Crumble the biscuits and pour the warm mixture over them. Stir until you get a thick blend and distribute it into an oven dish. Sprinkle the ground walnuts on top. Let it set.
In a deep bowl, whip the eggs with the sugar, vanilla and cream. Add the cream cheese and mash until homogeneous. Pour this over the biscuit layer and bake in a 320°F (160°C) oven with a fan for about an hour.
Let it cool and decorate with the jam. This walnut version goes best with apple and cinnamon jam but you can always substitute it with a different jam or fruits of your choice.
