Peel and cut the apples into coarse pieces. Put them in a small pot, saute on low heat with 1 cup of water. Once they soften, mash them with a fork while still warm.

Once this apple puree cools, add the sugar, cinnamon and walnuts. Beat the butter into foam and add the breadcrumbs.

Stir well and divide the mixture into 2 parts. Lay out one part in a small tray. Pour in the apple puree and cover it with the remaining butter mixture.

Bake the cake for 15 min. at 356°F (180 °C) and then 10 more min. with the oven turned off. Garnish with cream.find similar recipes here
