  • shrimp - 10, large
  • fish - cut into 20 pieces
  • rice - 2 cups, round grain
  • vinegar - 2 - 3 tbsp
  • sugar - 1 tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • horseradishes - 1 root, grated
  • nori leaves - 6


If using frozen shrimp, soak them in water to soften. Clean them carefully by removing the tails. Cut each shrimp lengthwise along its belly and open it. Cut the fish into small pieces.

Boil the rice in exactly 2 cups of water, once it comes to a boil decrease the heat on the 5th minute. Let it boil 10 min, then turn off the stove and leave for another 10 min. - the rice needs to boil completely.

Combine the vinegar, sugar and salt and mix into the boiled rice with a wooden spoon. Cover the rice with a wet towel and leave it for 1-2 hours.

With wet hands, take from the cooled rice and distribute it in an even layer atop the nori. At one end, put the stuffing of shrimp, some horseradish and fish and roll into a tight roll. Cut the rolls into small sushi bites and serve with soya sauce.

You can prepare the sushi without nori leaves by forming elongated rice meatballs and garnishing with the fish, horseradish and shrimp on top.find similar recipes here
