  • potatoes - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • onions - 1 head, or leeks
  • peppers - 2, red
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • turmeric - about 1 tbsp dried or 1/2 bunch fresh
  • savory - 1 tbsp or more, eyeball it
  • oil
  • vinegar


Peel the potatoes, wash them and cut them into pieces. Put them to boil but be careful not to boil them too much. Drain them from the water and let them cool completely.

Chop the onions and cleaned peppers finely and add them to the potatoes. Stir slightly and add the spices. Stir slightly once more and season with vinegar and oil according to taste.

You can prepare the salad without turmeric but when added it gives a richer color to the potatoes.find similar recipes here
