Peel the pears and remove their cores and stems. Dice them and mix them with the sugar.
Wrap it into a roll and pinch it closed. Put it in an oven dish, smear it with the melted butter and bake 50 min. at 392°F (200 °C), covered with foil so it doesn't burn.
Take it out, cool it and cut it into thick slices. Serve with ice cream.
