Ingredients

  • flour - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • yoghurt - 2 cups (500 g)
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • water - 4/5 cup (200 ml)
  • eggs - 3
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • oil - 1 cup
  • powdered sugar - 1 cup

How to cook

Make a dough from the flour, yoghurt, eggs, baking soda, salt and water.

Let it sit for 30 min.

With wet hands, shape round mekitsi and braise them in the oil.

Once you take them out of the pan, drain them from the oil and serve them sprinkled with powdered sugar.
