  • penne - about 7 oz (200 g), or other type of pasta
  • shrimp - 5, large tiger shrimp
  • tomatoes - 3.5 oz (100 g), Roma type, finely chopped
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • white wine - about 1/5 cup (60 ml)
  • butter - 2 tbsp
  • basil - 2 bunches, chopped
  • parsley - several bunches, chopped
  • cayenne pepper - 1 tsp
  • salt
  • black pepper

Boil the pasta al dente, in salted water, according to package directions.

In the meantime, heat the butter, which you can substitute with olive oil for cooking, and add the shrimp that you've washed beforehand, along with the garlic and cayenne pepper. Stir 2-3 min. until the shrimp are nearly ready.

Add the chopped tomatoes and cook another 3 min. Next, add the wine. Stir with it about 2 min., until the alcohol evaporates.

Add the drained pasta to the container and stir and if necessary add some of the water from the boiling of the pasta.

Finally, season the dish with the spices and chopped herbs. Serve the pasta with tiger shrimp in a large bowl or plate, arranging the shrimp neatly in it.
