Pumpkin and Milk Fritters

  • flour - 1/2 cup (125 g)
  • pumpkins - 21 oz (600 g)
  • eggs - 1
  • vanilla - 1 packet
  • brown sugar - 1/5 cup (60 g)
  • yeast - 1/3 cube, live
  • milk - 3 tablespoons
  • coconut oil - for frying


Clean, wash and cut the pumpkin into coarse pieces. Boil it in water for about 15-20 minutes. Then grate and mix it with the flour, which has been sieved three times.

Dissolve the yeast in the milk, warm it and add it to the pumpkin. Add the beaten egg, vanilla and sugar. Stir well to get a smooth dough. Leave it in a warm area for 1 hour.

Tear small bits from it and and form fritters, then fry them in an oil bath until golden. Finally, take them out from the oil and arrange the fritters on paper towels to drain away the excess oil.
