Ingredients

  • carrots - 16 oz (460 g)
  • cucumbers - 1, large
  • turnips - 16 oz (460 g)
  • oil - 1/5 cup (60 g)
  • sugar - 9 cubes
  • black pepper
  • salt

Preparation

Clean and peel the vegetables. Cut them lengthwise. Melt the butter in a large pan and add the vegetables, sugar, salt and pepper.

Add enough water to cover the vegetables. Boil over high heat until the water evaporates. Leave the vegetables to lightly caramelize and serve them as a side dish.
