  • phyllo pastry - 8 sheets, fine
  • eggs - 3
  • yogurt - 1 tablespoon
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • feta cheese - 14 oz (400 g) crumbled
  • oil
  • butter
  • lemon juice - a few drops


Prepare the 8 fine pastry sheets. Cut each in half. You will get 16 rectangular sheets. Smear each with oil.

Add two tablespoons of stuffing onto each. Prepare the mixture by beating 3 eggs with the yoghurt, baking powder, a few drops of lemon juice and crumbled feta cheese (you can buy already crumbled).

Fold the greased with oil and stuffed pastry sheets, by putting the two opposite ends together and rolling them into rolls, being careful not to tear the sheet.

Put all the rolls in a baking dish and arrange them on baking paper. Put a little butter on each roll.

Spray with carbonated water and bake in a preheated 392°F (200 °C) oven until they gain a nice tan, for approximately 20-25 minutes, depending on the oven.

Serve with ayran or yoghurt.
