How to cook
Soak the sliced onion rings in cold water for about 30 min. Strain and dry them. Sift 1 cup of plain flour. Combine the corn flour, parsley and basil.
Sprinkle on the salt and black pepper. In a separate bowl, sift the remaining plain flour. Dip the onion rings in the plain flour first, then in the milk and finally in the corn flour with the spices.
Fry them in the olive oil on high heat for about 5-7 min. Drain them onto paper towels.
