Ingredients

  • chicken wings - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • oil - 4 tbsp
  • soy sauce - 4 tbsp
  • rice wine - 4 tbsp
  • water - 4 tbsp
  • garlic - 7 cloves
  • ginger - 1 tsp
  • cayenne pepper - 1 tsp
  • sugar - 3 tsp

Preparation

Wash the chicken wings and dry them well. Chop the garlic finely. Heat the oil in a deep pan and braise the chicken wings in it until golden on all sides. Take them out.

In a bowl, mix the wine, water, soy sauce, cayenne pepper, garlic and sugar. Put the chicken wings back in the pan and pour this sauce over them. Cover with a lid and cook for 4 min.

Stir, cover with the lid again, lower the stove to a medium setting and cook the wings for 4 min.

Finally, remove the lid and cook a final 5 min. until nearly all of the sauce evaporates. Serve right away.
